Dear Community Members,

In response to the COVID 19 crisis, the Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona and the Arizona Community Foundation statewide have established COIVD 19 Community Response Funds to help get emergency funding to the non-profits that are providing critical care services to our communities most vulnerable.

This is a challenging time for everyone and our role as the Community Foundation has NEVER been more important I We are conveners and have the processes and resources to get financial support to our community’s urgent needs.

Here locally we have established the Sedona Verde Valley COVID 19 Community Response Fund. ACF seeded the fund with an $80Kmatch. We have raised $45k towards that match. Honestly I believe we need to get at least $300k into the fund to be able to effectively support our community needs.

We are working to get the funds out to non-profits very quickly. We have a ten to fourteen day turn around on requests. Non-profits complete a simple one page application, we have a local panel who will review and make recommendations weekly and check are cut within two days of our funding recommendation. We will make our first recommendations for funding today. I will send you weekly updates.

Immediate funding priority is given to organizations providing critical care services in response to the COVID 19 Outbreak. Please see attached Brochure. Hopefully if resources permit we will have future grant funds to help non-profits recover from this crisis.

What you can do:

Please let your friends, coworkers, family, religious group, neighborhood association .. know about the fund. Every dollar donated will stay in our community. I have never needed the communities help more. The Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona and the Verde Valley has been working for 25 years to support the needs of community and now we are being put to the test. We are working diLigently to fill the gap that the government cannot fill and support our neighbors in need effectively, efficiently and without duplication. Feel free to call me with any questions.
