    Yavapai County reports 581 COVID-19 Cases and 19 Additional Deaths

    COVID-19 Vaccination Points of Dispensing (PODs) Planned for Later this Week and Next

    Over 3.6 million Arizonans have been tested for COVID-19 with 685,699 positive results and 11,266 deaths reported statewide since last January. Yavapai County has tested 91,031 residents with 15,318 positive cases, 6,077 recovered, and 325 deaths. YRMC West has 66 COVID-19 patients, YRMC East is caring for 17 patients. VVMC reports 23 COVID-19 hospitalizations. The VA reports 14 COVID-19 patients.

      POD Site coordinated by Yavapai Regional Medical Center, starting Thursday, January 21 in the old Sears building in Gateway Mall: 3280 Gateway Blvd. in Prescott, AZ. It will be open to all phase 1a and 1b individuals and currently only appointments are available for Thursday and Friday. Additional appointments will be added in the coming weeks. Go to make an appointment. The Pod is currently scheduled for 6 days per week but may expand to 7 days with adequate assistance/staffing and vaccine availability. YRMC plans to vaccinate 500 individuals per day.

      POD Site coordinated by Spectrum Healthcare, starting Monday, January 25 at Findlay Event Center in Prescott Valley to spread our sites geographically. This pod is currently scheduled to be 7 days per week by appointment only. Spectrum plans to vaccinate 500-1,000 individuals per day based on adequate vaccine supply and staffing
      POD Site coordinated by Spectrum Healthcare, starting Monday, January 25 or sooner at 8 E. Cotton St. Cottonwood, AZ. This pod is currently scheduled for 7 days per week by appointment only. Spectrum plans to vaccinate 500 per day with adequate vaccine supply and staffing.

      Spectrum is also supporting one-day events for educators at HUSD and PUSD on Thursday 1/21 and Friday 1/22, where they plan to vaccinate 1,000+ educators.

      Yavapai County Community Health Services is supporting all POD sites with Medical Reserve Corps, and other available staff. We will also provide personal protective equipment to each site and have requested five vaccinators and five support staff for each of the above locations from the National Guard. We are excited to bring these opportunities for vaccination to Yavapai County residents.
