Supervisor Donna Michaels, Ph.D.
Supervisor Donna Michaels has proven experience in governing at the local, state, and national levels. She is known for building teams of diverse constituents to develop and implement goals.
Supervisor Michaels is also a hands-on leader in execution and development of plans through partnering with internal/external resources and recruiting and mentoring high-performance teams as evidenced by her volunteers, interns, community leadership, and staff involvement.
Supervisor Michaels is well-known for building stakeholder relationships and collaborating with diverse populations while serving a wide range of different communities and interests that include: government and elected official relationships, education, ranching, farming, neighborhoods, public lands, and water.
In addition to the above, she is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Supervisors and heavily focused on building more effective relationships with government agencies, and introducing model demonstrations such as regenerative agriculture for the region in a collaborative fashion.
Supervisor Michaels is a published author on public policy and public administration topics. Her work continues to be a definitive resource in graduate schools across the country.
Her passion for horses and horseback riding has led to involvement in, support, and pro bono consultation for a number of equine organizations and related ventures.
