After Supervisor Michaels received a call from a local resident, Yavapai County Flood Control District is overseeing the cleanup of this location by a private contractor.

Letters of Support
were received from Supervisors Michaels and Supervisor Gregory, as well as City of Cottonwood Public Works Director, James Bramble in support of a Cornville Road and Tissaw Road roundabout which is included in NACOG’s Regionally Significant Project List. This project is well-positioned to get a portion of the one-time funding from the State Legislature in 2022, if approved.
Future Cornville Road Corridor Study
This study and funding for potential improvements along Cornville Road is in the proposed 5-year plan for the Regional Roads budget.
SR 179 and Beaverhead Flat Road Turn-Lane Improvement
Update
ADOT construction of overlay project on SR 179 has began. County work on the turn lane will likely be done in the Spring of 2022.
Jerome Slide Area Project Update
90% level construction plans are currently being reviewed, with planned construction starting in the Fall of 2021.Soil nails will be installed to intercept the plane where the failure is occurring and will be covered by a facade of grout. It is not believed that there is any immediate threat for failure.
Board of Supervisors Approvals
The Board of Supervisors approved an addendum with the Town of Clarkdale to add $50,000.00 and one year to the Intergovernmental Agreement from FY 2020-2021 in support of drainage improvements within the Town’s incorporated limits.
The Board of Supervisors approved FY 2020-2021 funding in the amount of $300,000.00 for new Community Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Sedona in support of drainage improvement projects.
Covid-19 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinics
Supervisor Michaels and Spectrum Healthcare Group recently collaborated on bringing a Covid-19 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic to Verde Village. The clinic was tied in to their Friday Night Dinner Social. Anyone that received a vaccination from the Pop-Up clinic would get a free dinner that night. It was a fun evening with great food and Hula dancers!
